Piano Suite No. 1 in B Major
for Laura
This piano suite was written in 2020 for my beautiful wife, Laura. Laura has always stood by my side with love and compassion, through thick and thin.
Written almost entirely during the pandemic, these four movements attempt to convey the complex emotions that come with any long term relationship- Love, sadness, joy, regret, playfullness, humility, longing, and passion can all be found in this work.

Nocturne in F minor
A nice nocturne, written in the style of Frédéric Chopin. Minimal editing has been done to provide agency to the player for how they wish to interpret the piece. For instance, I have performed mm. 27-34 both as ppp, as well as ff, resulting in vastly different characters.

Prelude No. 1 in G# Minor
Written in a single sitting on February 1st, 2020, this prelude for piano begins with a low, tonally ambiguous theme centered around G#. The repeated low A, the lowest note on the keyboard, represents the deep chime of a grandfather clock.
Nicknamed "Father Time," this prelude ultimately served as the primary thematic material for Jewson's second symphony with the final movement being an orchestration of this prelude.

Eclectic Array
Eclectic Array is the pseudonym James writes under when creating non-classical music. Drawing inspiration from artists Haywyre, Emancipator, Tycho, and Christian Scott Atunde Adjuah (among others... the list is quite long), Eclectic Array is exactly what it claims to be- an eclectic mixture of electronic, lo-fi, classical, jazz, and world music. James is working on finishing his first album, [0], scheduled to be completed by the end of 2022.
James is currently looking for someone to assist him in mixing and/or mastering his work. Click here if you are interested.
